CCW Class Checklist

No guns and no ammunition are to be brought to the class!


Here is a list of things you will need to bring with you:


Photo ID


Pen and/or pencil




Range time will be scheduled at a later date.  If we are going to the range on the same day as the class, you will be notified. For a list of what to bring to the range, click here.


After attending the class, you may apply for a concealed carry weapons permit. There are specific requirements when you apply for your CCW.  Please ask any questions you may have on the requirements below to 


Ohio Revised Code 2923.13 persons under disability cannot use a firearm unless they apply for relief ORC 2923.14


Meeting the requirements before applying for your Ohio Concealed Handgun License:


  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • You must be an Ohio resident for at least 45 days.
  • You must be a resident of your home county for at least 30 days.
  • You must read and understand the Attorney Generals pamphlet on concealed carry.Download File
  • Download and fill out the application for concealed carry license. Download File
  • Make an appointment (some stations have walk-in hours) with the local sheriff's office or an adjacent county's sheriff's office LISTING
  • Have two 2x2 passport photos with completed application and the required fees for the background check and fingerprinting services. $67 for resident of Ohio for more than 5 years, if less than 5 years its $91.
